Dans la Grèce antique, l'Élégie était chantée au sacrifice du bouc. Deux millénaires sont passés, les autels sont lavés de toute violence. Mais le deuil persiste, universel, intemporel. Comme un écho, l'Élégie resurgit aux heures laïques de nos jours sans regard, un souffle de tiédeur dans le thorax qui soudain éclate en mille morceaux, envahir et teinter la nature de sa force douloureuse.
L'Islande, crâne désolé sur l'océan Atlantique, est le théâtre de cette langueur ancienne. Filmée par Mathias Averty, cette île incarne les mots de Jade Lanzone dans une alliance profonde et mystique, à la fois mélancolique et rugueuse, belle et lancinante.
In ancient Greece, the Elegy was sung during the sacrifice of the goat. Two millennia have passed, the altars are cleansed of all violence. But mourning persists, universal, timeless. Like an echo, the Elegy resurfaces in the secular hours of our unobserved days, a breath of warmth in the thorax which suddenly bursts into a thousand pieces, invading and coloring nature with its painful force.
Iceland, a desolate skull on the Atlantic Ocean, is the scene of this ancient languor. Filmed by Mathias Averty, this island embodies the words of Jade Lanzone in a deep and mystical alliance, both melancholic and rough, beautiful and haunting.
